Attend the Balanced Scorecard Intensive Program
June 7 & 8, 2012  Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center Manila, ADB Avenue, Ortigas, Pasig City

Overview

For years, leaders have struggled to use financially driven performance management systems to achieve operational and strategic goals. The Balanced Scorecard offers a proven approach to management that embeds long-term strategy into your management system through measurement.

The Balanced Scorecard management tool has been in existence in various forms for over 12 years. During this time, the concept has evolved considerably to become a popular way for organizations to respond to the management problems of controlling and managing strategic implementation, aligning the organizations strategic efforts and providing management with more relevant information for making decisions. However, there have been mixed reports about the success and realized benefits in responding to these challenges. Despite the mixed press, Balanced Scorecard has been gradually increasing in both usage and satisfaction rate. In the 2004 Bain and Company survey of top management tools, Balanced Scorecards were being used in 62% of the organizations surveyed and satisfaction with the tool had increased considerably – out of 25 tools Balanced Scorecard was now ranked 8th in terms of satisfaction.

So Balanced Scorecard is becoming more popular and more useful to organizations. Clearly, there are benefits, but what might they be? A common question is “If I implement Balanced Scorecard what will the return on my investment be?” Unfortunately, there is no simple formula that can be applied to calculate the efficiency gain or financial improvement, however, there are a number of tangible and intangible benefits that can been realized by organizations in both the public and private sectors.

The Balanced Scorecard Intensive examines the benefits that can be realized from designing an effective strategic performance management system. This also looks at some practical measures to improve the utility and the benefits that can be realized.

The Balanced Scorecard Intensive is fully accredited by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Philippines. Completion of the course entitles the individual to 16 CPD points.
